VietNamNet Bridge – Chairman of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Mohamed Bin Hammam attended the Asia Vision conference in HCM City on March 28.

Before coming to Vietnam, Bin Hammam visited to some European countries to electioneer to the FIFA presidency for the next terms. It is said that his trip to HCM City is to win support from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
Bin Hamman told the local press that he strongly believed in his victory in the upcoming election to replace current FIFA President Sepp Blatter in June.
“I’m currently the chairman of the AFC, with over 40 member federations out of the total 208 member federations in the world. I will seek the support from member football federations. If I win the election, I will change the organization,” Mohamed Bin Hammam said.
The Asia Vision, initiated by Bin Hammam, has been organized in Vietnam since 2008. It was carried out successfully in Long An and HCM City and it will be implemented in the central city of Hue this year.
Speaking at the Asia Vision workshop in HCM City on March 28, Bin Hamman praised HCM City’s good implementation of the Asia Vision program. He signed a sponsorship contract worth $35,000 for HCM City.
During his time in HCM City, the AFC Chairman will meet with HCM City officials and attend the final game of the HCM City Football Tournament between Masec and Thong Nhat FC.
