VietNamNet Bridge – Nguyen Manh Kien from the capital city of Hanoi and Ton Thi Thanh Tuyen from the southern province of Binh Duong were named the winners in male and female categories respectively at the Vietnam Fitness Model Contest 2016, which wrapped up last week at the Adora Convention Center in HCMC.

The first such contest in Vietnam was open to all people nationwide. The contest is aimed at promoting and seeking fitness models.

More than 1,000 candidates from across the country went through a qualifying round and a semifinal round in Hanoi and HCMC. Then, 32 best contestants were chosen to compete in the final round, including fitness performance, and parade of gala gowns.

Next, the organizers continued to select the final six contestants, including three males and three females entering a challenge named “question-and-answer”.

Tuyen, who was born in 1991, has a good-looking appearance and is 1.71 meters tall. She showed her confidence and talent in all challenges from beautiful fitness performance to excellent situation solving.

Kien, a 21-year- old professional fitness instructor, is 1.82 meters tall. He received compliments from the judging panel for his brief and impressive answers.

Judging the performance of candidates in the final round, Khanh Thi, a well-known dance-sport star, said some contestants looked puzzled and stressed as this was the first time they had taken the stage.

The winners of the contest will be responsible for joining numerous activities calling for young people to take up the sports in an effort to improve their health.

Gymnastics Union, Asian International Model Truong Ngoc Tinh, and renowned dance-sport star Khanh Thi, fashion photographer Trinh Quoc Huy, singer Phuong Thanh, and fashion designer Ta Nguyen Phuc.
