VietNamNet Bridge – Binh Phuoc authorities have shown support for the construction of an international-standard racecourse in the province.

Vu Thanh Nam, Director of the local Planning and Investment Department, said the racecourse was part of the $100 million Binh Phuoc entertainment project, with an area of more than 100 hectares.

The investor –Binh Phuoc Entertainment Co., Ltd. is – is consulting relevant agencies before getting a licence from the Binh Phuoc government.

Nam said that the project would be located in Chon Thanh district, along Highway 13. It includes the racecourse, resorts, villas, commercial centers, service and sports center, and other facilities.

"The project will begin a new development direction for the province. Binh Phuoc will create favorable conditions for the investor to implement the project," Nam said.

Nam said that, at a recent meeting with Binh Phuoc officials, Michael Efron, chairman of the Australian Investment Group in Vietnam, who is also Director of the Binh Phuoc Entertainment Co., Ltd, committed to complete legal procedures early, and said all racing horses would be imported from Australia.
