VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnamese Bkis BKAV Home Plus has performed well to enter the world’s top ten.

The result was announced at the final test of the year, conducted by the UK Virus Bulletin (VB) magazine, which had involved many famous software developers.

Anti-virus softwares had to go through many procedures to check the detection rate with the virus samples collected independently in 3 weeks before and 1 week after the software is submitted to the VB.

The result of the detection rate is RAP score, a combination of the reactive and proactive scores in which the reactive scores measure the ability to handle with known types of virus while proactive scores shows the predictability of the software with the new virus samples.

The BKAV Home Plus received RAP score of 91.3/100 to rank 7 out of 64 softwares in the test, far beyond many traditional and famous names including Symantec-PC Tools, Kaspersky and McAfee.

* Vietnam helps Cambodia install Search and Rescue Information System

The Cospas-Sarsat satellite system’s channels have been put into operation at Cambodia’s Search and Rescue (SAR) points of contact (SPOC).

Speaking at a ceremony in Phnom Penh on December 20, Do Duc Tien, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Maritime Administration, to hand over data transmission channels, expressed his belief that these channels will operate effectively to serve the search and rescue activities to keep safety and security in transport activities in Cambodia.

As a member of the Cospas-Sarsat Organisation, Vietnam has helped Cambodia install equipment and train local staff who will receive, process and distribute data from the Cospas-Sarsat satellite.
