VietNamNet Bridge - The Vietnamese Bkis Bkav Home Plus has surpassed over 50 products to enter the world’s top ten anti-virus software, according to the UK Virus Bulletin magazine.
The magazine tested the detection rate of 64 anti-virus software solutions on virus samples collected independently three weeks before and one week after the software was submitted.
The resultant RAP score is a combination of the reactive (the ability to handle with known types of virus) and proactive (the ability of the software to handle new virus samples) scores.
The Bkav Home Plus received a RAP score of 91.3/100 to rank seventh out of 64 solutions tested, far outdoing names including Symantec-PC Tools with a score of 66.7, Kaspersky 88.3 and McAfee 64.9.
John Hawes, who is in charge of the magazine’s comparative reviews, said Bkav, despite a new face, had undergone impressive development to become one of most outstanding products in the review.
