VietNamNet Bridge – About 3,000 people have registered to donate blood at an annual autumn festival which was launched in Hanoi on September 16.

The event, the fifth of its kind organized by the Hanoi Youth Blood Donation Mobilization Association and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, is expected to collect 1,500 units of blood.
Delivering the message “Flying with dreams,” the festival shows young people’s responsibilities toward society. It is a place for young people to demonstrate their societal responsibilities.
People can also enjoy camp and art performance in addition to an exhibition titled “Dream,” in which a puzzle picture will represent the dreams of child patients.
The festival was first organized in 2008 and has become an annual September event. With the collection of 2,520 units of blood over the four years since its founding, the event greatly contributes to satisfying the blood demand.
