Bluebirds’ Nest Book Cafe in Ba Binh District of Hanoi will hold a workshop on the art of paper cutting Kirigami from 1:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 24.

Originating in Japan, Kirigami is a variation of Origami that includes cutting of the paper, rather than just folding, and utilizes different techniques.

During the workshop, participants will learn about Kirigami’s basic techniques and create decorations for multiple purposes such as door, window, wall, and table decorations, which combine different patterns of flowers, leaves, and animals using Kirigami.

The organizers will provide scissors and colored paper. Participants should bring their own pencils and some pieces of thin paper for practicing before working with the colored paper.

The workshop will be in Vietnamese with English interpretation.

Attendance fee is VND200,000 per adult and VND100,000 per child under 15 years old.
