VietNamNet Bridge – The administration of Boras City in Sweden would boost co-operation with Da Nang to help deal with environmental problems over the coming years, vice major of Boras Tom Andersson said during a visit here yesterday, May 31.

He said Boras would help Da Nang with its experience in the environmental sector as outlined in a Letter of Intent signed between the two cities last year, focusing on co-operation, management, waste treatment and recycled energy.

Administrations from the two cities are also expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in Boras this year.

Vice chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Phung Tan Viet urged Boras to help Da Nang become a green city by 2020 while boosting trade between the two cities.

Last year, Da Nang earned an export turnover of US$3.2 million from Sweden.
