VietNamNet Bridge - Due to lack of funding after Do Quang Hien withdrew his capital, the SHB Danang FC has decided to dissolve the Danang Youth Team, which is playing in the First Division Tournament.

As a team playing at the First Division Tournament, the Danang Youth Team spent up to VND40 billion ($2 million) a year.
In the time of economic crisis, it's hard for the SHB Da Nang FC’s leaders to seek that amount of capital. Therefore, immediately after the end of the 2012 season, the FC's leaders planned to sell the young team. However, according to Executive Director Bui Xuan Hoa, no one wanted to buy it, so the team would be dissolved.
"But it is not easy to dissolve the team because this task is related to the decision of the Danang authorities. Being approved by the authorities, we have decided not to maintain the team from the next season. Many players have met or called us to blame. I was also very sad but I cannot do anything," Hoa said.
According to Hoa, about 10 players of the young team will be added to the first-class team, which is playing at the V-League. The remaining players will be sold or laid off.
In the current situation, SHB Danang FC will concentrate investment in the V-League team and try to maintain young teams.
"Next season Danang will have to defend its V-League championship and compete at the AFC Cup, so we must have reasonable calculation. We are trying to maximally reduce our staff, but it is very difficult to sell players because the transfer market is frozen now. This is a common difficulty of V-League teams," he said.
SHB Da Nang is also planning to merge the U11 and U13 teams, in order to cut costs.
Another young team of the First Division Tournament, the Hanoi Youth Team, owned by mogul Nguyen Duc Kien, who was recently arrested for economic related violations, may be also dissolved.
As a result, the First Division Tournament 2013 is likely to have only 12 teams.
