She then ranked second in the list of best boxers of the tournament.

In the 48kg final, Phuong lost to Japanese Kasumi Saeki, while Duyen did not beat Chinese Lili Niu in the 54kg weight category.

Viet Nam sent four boxers competing in the tournament, which drew 264 young female boxers from 45 different countries.

The tournament provided a good opportunity for Vietnamese boxers to gain experience for the upcoming London 2012 Olympics.

Viet Nam has set its hopes on the lightweight categories – flyweight (48-51kg), lightweight (56-60kg) and middleweight (69-75kg) -- at the London Games.
