A former member of the popular Irish band, Boyzone, Mark Walton arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on May 20 to serve as a coach and jury member on the 2015 Vietnam Idol, the national version of the beloved Idol series.

Upon landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Mark Walton shared that he was very excited to be part of the competition.

With 27 years of experience working in the field of international music, Mark believes that he will be able to help the top 8 contestants succeed in their professional singing careers.

The gala will be broadcast live on VTV3 channel at 20:00 on May 24.

Mark Walton was born in 1975 in Dublin, Ireland. He became a member of Boyzone in 1993, but left afterward.

In 2001, he and four friends formed the band Fifth Avenue. Their first hit album ‘A Different Life’ was released in 2003.
