Vietnam is the first leg on the Asia debut tour of Shifted, who is also known as Guy Brewer. The tour will also take in Singapore on May 7, and Bali, Indonesia on May 8.
Shifted used to be part of drum & bass duo Commix. Then, Shifted went on to work with promising upstart techno imprints Our Circula Sound and Syndrome Z and started his own label, Avian, with fellow Ventress. Shifted worked with Mote-Evolver to release his debut album Crossed Paths earlier this month.
Heart Beat founder Chris Wolter has released his signature sound on Heart Beat’s imprint with his latest techno release of Chanhy by night and “Scorpion” following “Bubi.” Wolter made his debut in 2004 as DJ and in 2008 his first set in Vietnam during the Hanoi Soundstuff Festival.
Visual artist Erol from Sweden will stand beside the DJs whole night to produce the visuals that will entangle with all the soundscapes.
This is the 16th installment of Heart Beat. The group has an ambition to enrich the scene of Saigon by hosting regular nights of house and techno tunes with the presence of renowned international artists and local talents.
The event will take place at The Observatory, 5 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, District 4, HCMC. There is a free entrance from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Those coming afterwards will be charged VND150,000 per person.
