VietNamNet Bridge – While being taking to a slaughterhouse, a male buffalo of over 400kg unexpectedly escaped from the rope and butted the abattoir’s manager and several passers-by.




The incident was reported on the morning of May 5 in Ben Cat district of the southern province of Binh Duong. While towing a buffalo into the abattoir, the abattoir’s owner and a worker was butted by the animal, which suddenly went mad. The two men were taken to the hospital.

The buffalo ran to the road and collided with two passers-by. It passed over ten kilometers, from Ben Cat district to Thu Dau Mot town, where the mad animal chased after and butted a couple.

Mr. Vo Van Gia, 34, recalled: “I was riding on a red scooter with my wife when the buffalo appeared and butted the motorbike, my wife and I, onto the road.”

Being informed, Thu Dau Mot town’s police went to the scene, where the mad buffalo joined a herd of other buffalos. They surrounded the herd.

They finally decided to shoot down the mad animal.
