He holds the secret of a large sum of US dollars that must be delivered to the revolutionary forces, and is the only person who knows where it is hidden.

Detained at Phu Quoc prison - once described as a “hell on earth” - the protagonist is forced to devise an escape plan under conditions that seem almost impossible.

Following the success of Tunnels: Sun In The Dark, released in April 2025 with revenue exceeding VND170 billion (US$6.9 million), Bui Thac Chuyen continues to explore his strength in placing characters in situations of intense pressure, where inner conflict and survival instinct collide.

With this new project, the director aims not only to portray the brutality of war, but also to reveal lesser-told aspects of the inner lives of revolutionary soldiers - particularly their faith and resilience in the harshest circumstances.

The film is currently in the casting and pre-production stage. According to the producer, it is expected to be released in 2027.
