Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh (L) meets Bulgarian FM Daniel Mitov
At the meeting with Bulgarian FM Daniel Mitov, Deputy PM Minh said the two ministries and other agencies of the two countries should work closely together to carry out agreements reached during the official visit to Bulgaria by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung last June.
He suggested Bulgaria consider granting official development assistance (ODA) or preferential credit for environment and health projects in Vietnam, especially those in the Mekong-Danube cooperation framework.
FM Mitov stressed that the two sides should prepare carefully for the meeting of the joint committee on cooperation next November and the two foreign ministries’ political consulting meeting this year.
The two FMs agreed on the necessity of boosting international cooperation for the sustainable use and management of water resources on cross-border major rivers, as well as in climate change adaptation and ecological protection.

The two sides expressed their delight at the encouraging development in bilateral trade, which will be sustained via specific trade and investment promotion activities.
Kristian Jensen said Denmark attaches much importance to the comprehensive partnership with Vietnam and pledges to continue support the Southeast Asian country in education and in green and sustainable development.
The two diplomats agreed to consider the signing of an agreement on education cooperation, while pushing ahead with the implementation of the Vietnam-Denmark action plan in 2014-2015 and the building of a new one for 2016-2017.
