VietNamNet Bridge – Four people died and 41 were injured yesterday after a 50-seat bus overturned and fell down the side of a road in Thuan Nam District in the south-central province of Ninh Thuan.

The driver of the bus, which was travelling on 1A National Highway from central Binh Dinh Province to HCM City, lost control at a curve in the road under heavy rain.


Police said two people died at the site and two others died on the way to hospital, including the driver. Among the 41 people who were hospitalised, 10 were severely injured.

Witnesses said they saw the bus overturn and slide about 50 metres. Police said the driver was travelling at a high speed around the wet and slippery curve.
