Bun, 20, had an easier-than-expected final victory of 6-2, 6-2 over Sunu, who defeated Bun at the 2009 SEA Games in Laos.

This is the first title that Bun has won in his career. He returned to Cambodia two years ago after being born and raised in France. He is a regular participant at ATP tournaments.

"I was not very confident ahead of the tournament because I did not know anything of the other players, but I came out on top here. It is a little bit of a surprise but my play was consistent throughout the tournament," Bun said.

Bun will receive prize money of US$3,000, while runner-up Sunu, who is the No 3 tennis player in Indonesia, pockets $1,500.

In the men's doubles final, the home nation's Le Quoc Khanh and Ngo Quang Huy played well to overcome Indonesia's top-seed Aditya Hari Sasongko and Sunu 6-3, 6-3 to take the doubles title and win prize money of $2,000.
