The victim has been identified as N.T.T.K, a 46-year-old Canadian citizen, according to the local police, Thanh Nien Online reports.

At 15:20 yesterday, the police of Hoa Vang District were notified that a group of tourists, including three men and five women, explored and took a shower at the Ba La spring area, situated in the district’s Hoa Bac Commune, during their self-planned trip. While climbing up a waterfall, tens of meters tall, to take a photograph, the male tourist slipped and fell to his death.

The competent forces and vehicles were dispatched to the scene of the accident to carry out rescue operations.

After hours of attempting to approach the location to recover his body, including walking through a forest, the rescuers found his body in the forest at 20:40 in the day.

According to the police, the group of tourists arrived in Danang early this week and stayed at a hotel on Tran Bach Dang Street in Son Tra District. They then traveled for over 30 kilometers by road to Loc My Hamlet in Hoa Bac Commune, from where they walked for around seven kilometers to the Ba La spring area.

The police are investigating the case.
