Champs: Cantho Catfish celebrate winning the trophy of the Viet Nam Basketball Association (VBA) League on September 9. 

The Catfish beat Hanoi Buffaloes 76-71 in the third game of the final series held at the Ha Noi University of Science and Technology’s Gymnasium. The Catfish beat the Buffaloes 3-0 in aggregate to triumph in the annual event.

It is the first time the Catfish have taken the title.

Both teams gave fans an interesting and dramatic match until the last seconds. However, the Catfish grasped the advantage to take the lead.

Last year, the Catfish lost to Thang Long Warriors in the finals.
