VietNamNet Bridge – The Uong Bi City People's Committee has closed down Lam Thach 2 Cement Factory and fined it VND30 million (US$1,900) for discharging toxic exhaust fumes into the environment in north-eastern Quang Ninh Province.

The factory will be allowed to re-open if it seriously follows the regulations.
