VietNamNet Bridge – The rate of one dentist per 70,000 people in Lam Dong province is the highest rate among provinces in Vietnam’s Central Highlands

 
Other provinces like Kon Tum and Gia Lai have one dentist per 100,000 to 150,000 people, according to a conference on odontology in Da Lat city in Lam Dong province on May 26-27.

 

According to the conference, the rate of dentist/population is very low in 32 provinces in southern and central highland provinces. On average, there is one dentist for 42,000 people in 32 provinces. The highest rate belongs to HCM City, with one dentist per 10,000 residents.

 

The Central Highland province of Dak Nong has only one odonto-stomatological doctor and two dentists.

 

In many provinces, many district-level hospitals don’t have any odonto-stomatological doctors.
