VietNamNet Bridge – The provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism department has launched a photo contest to promote tourism in the central province from July to November.

The department said entrants, foreign and Vietnamese, must send seven photos each. These include photos of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival (July 7-14, 2017); world heritage sites (My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An old town); the world biosphere reserve Cham Island-Hoi An, Cham Towers, nature, cultural events, crafts and cuisine of Quang Nam. The deadline for submission is November 30.
Since the contest’s July 2 launch, 148 photos from 77 competitors have been sent in.
According to the department, VND200 million in cash prizes are reserved for the winners, who will be announced at an awards ceremony in December.

Last year the province hosted 4.4 million tourists, more than 2.2 million of them foreigners.
