Duong, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee, has been disciplined with a warning for violations and shortcomings in his work. He had previously been disciplined by the Party, and the warning took effect from the date of the Central Inspection Commission’s decision.

Earlier, at the 46th session in late August, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed the results of the inspection following signs of violations and the self-criticism submitted by the Bac Giang Provincial Party Standing Committee, recommending disciplinary action.

According to the Central Inspection Commission, the Bac Giang Provincial Party Standing Committee violated the principles of democratic centralism and working regulations.

They failed in their leadership and oversight responsibilities, allowing the Provincial People’s Council Party Delegation, the Provincial People’s Committee Party Delegation, and several organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and state laws in several investment projects conducted by Thuan An Group on provincial land.

Numerous officials and Party members, including key provincial officials, were found to have degraded in their political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle. They violated the Anti-Corruption Law, the rules for Party members, and the principle of setting an example.

These violations caused severe consequences, potentially leading to significant financial losses for the state and sparking public discontent, ultimately damaging the reputation of the Party and local authorities, necessitating disciplinary action.

The Central Inspection Commission held Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation to the Provincial People’s Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, accountable for these violations.

The Central Inspection Commission has issued a warning to Duong.
