VietNamNet Bridge - More than two months after V-League former chief organizer – Mr. Tran Duy Ly resigned, the leading national football league of Vietnam has had the new chief – Mr. Pham Ngoc Vien, who is also the Vice Chair of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
The newly-appointed chief organizer of V-League 2014 - Pham Ngoc Vien.
In the 2013 season, Vien was the General Director of the Vietnam Professional Football JSC (VPF) and he also involved in organizing the V-League and the First Division with the former V-League chief Tran Duy Ly.
Vien used to be VFF General Secretary for two terms and now VFF Vice Chair so he understands well the problems of Vietnam football. However, like his predecessor, Vien is not seen as the one who can make a breakthrough in professional football of Vietnam.
Some sources said that it is highly possible that a Japanese expert will replace Vien in the future.
Vien himself repeatedly asserted that he did not want to assume this position because he must focus on the role of VPF general director.
The two deputy chief organizers of the V-League 2014 are Mr. Phu Hoa Pham (VPF deputy general manager) and Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc (Head of the Organization Department of VPF).
