In the finals, Chien faced off against Sameh Sidhom of Egypt, who previously met with the Vietnamese cueist in the group stage.
After facing several challenges posed by the Egyptian opponent in the opening minutes, he swiftly showed his talent by taking a lead of 22-12.
Chien remained his good form in the next 13 moves and win the game with a final score of 50-30.
This was his second championship title at the tournament. In 2018, Chien defeated his countryman Ngo Dinh Nai to get the title along with a prize money of EUR16,000 and 80 bonus points from the World Billiards Union (UMB).
The leading Vietnamese player also became the 21st player who won the World Cup more than once.
Earlier, he also beat his Vietnamese player Chiem Hong Thai in the semifinals with a score of 50-26 after 20 moves.
