At the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense of China have sent a national ceremonial delegation to participate in the military parade and march in Hanoi, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

At noon on August 29, a welcoming ceremony was held at Terminal T2 of Noi Bai International Airport for 120 Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers. The delegation will join Vietnam's celebratory events, including a rehearsal on August 30 and the main parade and march during the anniversary ceremony.

The celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day underscores the immense historical significance of these events and honors the achievements of the Vietnamese people in the struggle for national liberation, unification, reconstruction, and protection of the nation, as well as the country’s reform journey.

This occasion also allows Vietnam to express gratitude for the support received from international friends and progressive forces during its resistance wars.

Inviting traditional allies and having them participate in this year’s parade demonstrates the deep bonds of friendship and solidarity between the Vietnamese people and army and those of partner countries. It also reaffirms Vietnam’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralism, and diversification  -  that Vietnam is a friend, a trustworthy partner, and a responsible member of the international community.
