VietNamNet Bridge - The police forces of Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces in China have arrested 43 people, prosecuted 24 defendants for trafficking children, including 10 Vietnamese.

The Chinese authorities also rescued 10 Vietnamese infants, all boys, who are from 10 days old to 7 months old.

After breaking this human trafficking ring, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security asked the Vietnamese counterpart to coordinate in investigation.

Ten Vietnamese people were prosecuted in trading and transporting babies from southern provinces of Vietnam to the border city of Mong Cai, Quang Ninh province then crossing the Ka Long River to China.

Currently, the 10 children are being raised at a charity center in China.

Vietnamese authorities are conducting necessary procedures to bring the children back to Vietnam. They have found the mothers of two babies.

For the remaining eight children, the police suggested anyone who has information to go to the Police Department for Social Order Related Criminal Investigation at No. 55 Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi or call number 06944763 - 0904851981 to help the children reunite with their families.
