In recent days, in the market area of the border junction between the three countries of China-Vietnam-Laos in Apachai, Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province, Chinese traders have urgently purchased dried buffalo dung.

Through observation of the reporter, every morning the people in some border villages of Apachai carried bags of dried buffalo dung to the border market to sell to Chinese traders.

A bag of dried buffalo of about 15 kg is paid VND60,000 ($3). The dried buffalo dung is collected in the hills, cattle grazing areas in the region.

When being asked why they buy dried buffalo dung, Chinese traders had the same answer: to fertilize their own tea and coffee gardens or to sell to tea and rubber farms.

It is known that the purchase of dry buffalo dung of Chinese traders in Apachai began last year. The proceeds from the sale of dried buffalo dung are not large, but collecting buffalo dung has attracted a lot of people in border villages in Apachai, Muong Nhe - Dien Bien.

Many people explained that with only one crop of rice, maize and cassava hills do not need buffalo dung; the domestic market does not buy this product so they sell it to China.

Is it worrying when the situation continues? The answer is for the local government.
