VietNamNet Bridge – Le Tu Chinh of HCM City brought home a gold medal in the women’s 100m category at the ongoing National Athletics Championships at Hang Day Stadium in Ha Noi.

Chinh clocked a time of 11.64sec to finish first. This result is better than her own achievement of 11.90sec which she set at the recent Asian Junior Athletics Championships.

In the women’s 10,000m event, Pham Thi Hue of Quang Ninh bagged a gold medal with a time of 36 minutes 47 seconds.

Hoang Thi Minh Hue, Cam Thi Thuy, Bui Thi Trang and Nguyen Thi Hang of Ha Noi took a gold medal in the women’s team’s 4x400m. In the men’s side, the Thanh Hoa team received gold medal.

In the men’s 800m, Vo Duy Linh of Dac Lac won gold.

The event will last until November 27.
