VietNamNet Bridge – Saigon Classical will hold a concert featuring Classical Favorites at the Southern Women’s Museum in District 3, HCMC next weekend.

Pianist Hoang Uyen Bao Tran will start the show by performing Ludwig van Beethoven’s 6 Ecossaises for Piano, WoO 83 and Johann Baptist Cramer’s Étude No. 38 in E flat Minor and Franz Joseph Haydn’s Keyboard Sonata in E minor, Hob.XVI: 34.
Piano duo Le Hoa Phong Lan and Tran Mai Hong will jointly play Gioachino Rossini’s “Overture” from “Il barbiere di Siviglia.” Baritone Dao Mac and pianist Le Hoa Phong Lan will perform “Ständchen” from “Schwanengesang, D. 957” by Franz Schubert, and Aria “Votre toast, je peux vous le rendre” from “Carmen” by Georges Bizet.
The show is followed by a performance of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise, Op. 34, No. 14 for Violin and Piano by violinist Lam Hoai Bao and pianist Nguyen Lu Hiep. Nguyen Lu Hiep will stage Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major, K. 331, III. Rondo alla turca (Turkish March).
In the second part of the night, pianist Ho Khanh Van will play Johann Sebastian Bach’s Italienisches Konzert, BWV 971 and violinist and pianist duo Pham Nguyen Hoai Thao and Nguyen Tran Xuan Nguyen will present Tomaso Antonio Vitali’s Chaconne.
Two violinists, Pham Nguyen Hoai Thao and Lam Hoai Bao, and pianist Nguyen Tran Xuan Nguyen will then perform Antonín Dvorak’s Humoresque No. 7, Op. 101 for 2 Violins and Piano.
Hungarian Dance No. 5 for Piano four hands by Johannes Brahms and Military March D. 733, No. 1 in D Major for Piano four hands by Franz Schubert will be played by piano duo Nguyen Tran Xuan Nguyen and Nguyen Lu Hiep.
The show is wrapped up by a performance of violinist Lam Hoai Bao and pianist Nguyen Lu Hiep via Camille Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre for Violin and Piano.
Spectators are advised to donate a minimum of VND50,000 each to support Saigon Classical to maintain their future programs. Advance registrations should be made by emailing to info@saigonclassical.vn.
The show at the Southern Women’s Museum, 202 Vo Thi Sau Street, District 3 takes place from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on October 22.
