She said the U.S. has "every intention" to broaden and deepen relationship "not only bilaterally with" countries but also with the AU.
"In addition, we seek the African Union's assistance in arriving at a political solution in Libya," Clinton added.
Ping is in Washington to attend the second annual U.S.-AU high- level dialogue.
