The military school belonging to the Hanoi Capital High Command is made up of two five-floor buildings, with each floor containing nine rooms which serves people in quarantine.
Soldiers don masks as they guard the entrance. Colonel Nguyen Kim Hong, principal of the military school, notes that the site has so far received 752 suspected cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including 733 Vietnamese citizens and 19 citizens of the RoK. Among the group, the oldest patient is 56-years-old with the youngest being two six-month-old children, whilst there are also four pregnant women.
Each of the arrivals are from epidemic areas and had their body temperature measured and health checked before being placed into quarantine.
All measures aimed at preventing the spread of the COVID-19 are being carried out.
Despite hundreds of relatives attempting to visit people, they’re not allowed to enter. They are however permitted to ask the soldiers to pass on gifts to the people inside.
Gifts often include noodles, candies, cakes, fruit, and milk.
People in quarantine chat with their relatives through the telephone and wave to each other from a distance.
A number of young people in the quarantine area do exercise. So far, there has been no case involving special symptoms, according to the military school’s representative.
People in quarantine are provided with free food and drink, with both Vietnamese and Korean nationals given the same meal, which they eat in their room with meals costing VND57,000 per day.
