V. League champion, Quang Nam, has announced new faces — striker Wander Luiz from Long An, defender Trinh Van Ha from Becamex Binh Duong and goalkeeper Tran Dinh Minh Hoang of Hue FC.

Brazilian Luiz will be Quang Nam’s third foreigner along with Thiago Melo and Claudecir Junior. In the five months of playing for Long An last season, Luis, 25, scored five goals.

Ha played for Quang Nam in 2015 and 2016 before moving to Binh Duong early this year.

Hoang is back to the team after spending two years in Hue. He was called to the national U23 squad under Japanese coach Toshiya Miura in 2014-16.

Apart from adding more members, coach Hoang Van Phuc also succeeded in extending contracts with key players such as midfielders Dinh Thanh Trung and Phan Thanh Hung.

Former V. League winner, SHB Da Nang, also signed three new contracts with young players — goalkeeper Phan Van Bieu, midfielder Le Van Diep, and national U19 defender Lieu Quang Vinh —from the Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents Football Centre.

The team is seeking a suitable person to take the head coach seat after long-time manager, Le Huynh Duc, quit last month.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai, the two-time V. League champion, has at least 10 players available on loan ahead of the coming season.

They are talented graduates of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai’s training centre and the team managers try to find places for them to compete regularly to sharpen their skills.

Recently, Hoang Nam and Thanh Long joined Hai Phong FC.

“Some other clubs have also asked to borrow our players. We are considering their offers,” said Nguyen Tan Anh, a representative of Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
