Recognition of entrepreneurial leadership and CMC's development journey
The Outstanding Vietnamese Entrepreneur - Thanh Giong Cup 2026 awards ceremony was held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Hanoi on October 11, ahead of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day on October 13.
Launched by VCCI in 2006, the Thanh Giong Cup marked its 10th selection cycle this year. A total of 100 outstanding entrepreneurs were chosen from more than 260 nominations submitted by ministries, government agencies, local authorities and business associations. The previous nine editions had honoured 860 entrepreneurs nationwide.
The award recognises achievements in business leadership and management during the 2021-2025 period, with particular emphasis on corporate governance, innovation, legal compliance, business ethics and social responsibility.
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc stressed the importance of adopting a more enabling, service-oriented approach to governance, with people and businesses at its centre.
He also called on the business community to demonstrate resilience, self-reliance, innovation and a strong sense of national responsibility in contributing to Vietnam's development goals for 2026-2030.
For Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Board and Executive Chairman of CMC Technology Group, the award marks a significant milestone in a career closely tied to the company's development.
Founded in 1993, CMC has spent more than three decades building its technological capabilities, pursuing innovation and expanding its presence beyond Vietnam.
"Receiving the Outstanding Vietnamese Entrepreneur - Thanh Giong Cup 2026 award is a great honour for me personally and for everyone at CMC Technology Group. It motivates us to keep innovating, mastering technology and developing AI products under our 'Make in Vietnam - Made by CMC' philosophy," Chinh said. "We remain committed to our ambition of becoming a global AI-X company and making a meaningful contribution to Vietnam's development."

A vision to bring Vietnamese technology to the world
Having been part of CMC since its early days, Nguyen Trung Chinh has worked alongside generations of leaders and employees as the company navigated successive waves of information technology development and digital transformation.
Under his leadership and that of the management team, CMC has steadily expanded its operations, strengthened its technological expertise, diversified its businesses and established a growing presence in international markets.
Throughout that journey, Chinh has maintained his vision of building a Vietnamese technology group capable of competing globally, embracing emerging technologies and contributing to the country's development.
He has also consistently recognised the importance of CMC's people, viewing teamwork, dedication and a shared commitment to long-term goals as essential foundations for sustainable growth.
As the digital economy undergoes rapid transformation, CMC is placing artificial intelligence (AI) at the centre of its next phase of development.
The Group's ambition to become a global AI-X company represents a continuation of its efforts to master technology, strengthen competitiveness and secure a greater role in the international technology value chain.

Advancing technology mastery and AI transformation
Guided by its AI-X strategy, built around the vision of connecting intelligence to shape the future, CMC is developing an ecosystem of AI products, platforms and solutions rooted in Vietnamese technological capabilities.
Through its "Make in Vietnam - Made by CMC" philosophy, the Group aims to create technology products that demonstrate domestic expertise while meeting the evolving needs of customers in Vietnam and international markets.
CMC is also increasing investment in digital infrastructure, strategic technologies, and research and development (R&D) to support businesses and organisations undergoing digital and AI transformation.
Its operations are organised around five key business areas: Digital Infrastructure; Technology and Solutions; New and Strategic Technologies; Global Business; and Education and Human Resource Development.
By bringing together technological expertise, modern infrastructure and highly skilled talent, CMC is laying the groundwork for high-value products and services while supporting customers and partners throughout their transformation journeys.
Beyond technology investment, the Group continues to focus on creating a working environment that encourages innovation, nurturing technology talent and developing international partnerships.
These priorities are central to CMC's efforts to strengthen its competitiveness, achieve sustainable growth and contribute to Vietnam's expanding digital economy.

Promoting entrepreneurial leadership in a new era
The Outstanding Vietnamese Entrepreneur - Thanh Giong Cup 2026 award recognises past achievements while also highlighting the pioneering role entrepreneurs are expected to play in Vietnam's next stage of development.
As science and technology, innovation and AI transformation become increasingly important drivers of economic growth, businesses face growing expectations to improve governance, develop technological capabilities and create tangible value for society.
For CMC, that pioneering spirit is reflected in its ambition to build an internationally competitive Vietnamese technology enterprise, develop products under the "Make in Vietnam - Made by CMC" philosophy and support government agencies, organisations and businesses in their digital and AI transformation.
The recognition of Nguyen Trung Chinh also reflects CMC's development over more than three decades, highlighting the importance of long-term vision, innovation and collective effort in building a successful technology business.
Looking ahead, CMC remains committed to pursuing its AI-X strategy, accelerating AI transformation, expanding its international presence and bringing Vietnamese innovation and technological expertise to the global market.

Through these efforts, the Group aims to contribute to Vietnam's national digital transformation while strengthening the country's position in the global technology landscape.
