The Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2025 (VIIE 2025), held from October 1 to 3 at the National Innovation Center (NIC), was a showcase of CMC Corporation’s transformative contributions to digital innovation and AI-X, reflecting the efforts of nearly 6,000 employees worldwide.
At Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, where VIIE 2025 gathered more than 4,000 delegates, 300 enterprises, and tens of thousands of visitors, CMC stood out as a pioneering force in Vietnam’s digital and AI transformation.

CMC entrusted with two national missions
The event highlighted two national missions assigned to CMC by the Government in 2025.
The first is the development of a “Make in Vietnam” cloud computing platform built upon a network of modern, hyperscale data centers located in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hoa Lac. This infrastructure aims to ensure national data sovereignty and security.
The second is the construction of a Vietnam Knowledge Platform – a national AI platform deployed through C-OpenAI, integrating 25 core technologies “Make in Vietnam, Made by CMC”.
At its exhibition booth, CMC introduced visitors to key innovations, including:
CIVAMS, a facial recognition system ranked among the top 12 worldwide and No. 1 in Vietnam by NIST.
CMC AIBOX and AIVISION, Edge AI devices for real-time, on-site data processing.
CLS, an AI-powered legal text analysis platform.
C-Health, an AI-driven healthcare solution.
Cybersecurity products built to international standards.
These technologies demonstrated CMC’s substantial progress in applying AI and digital infrastructure to support governments, enterprises, and local communities.
Visitors at VIIE 2025 showed keen interest and active engagement with CMC’s showcased solutions.
University – institute – enterprise model shaping future talent

As a trailblazer in Vietnam’s AI and digital transformation journey, CMC established CMC University in 2022 – the nation’s first AI university model.
Since its inception, the university has welcomed more than 3,000 students across over 15 academic programs. It aims to enroll 15,000 to 20,000 students by 2033, contributing to the development of high-quality talent in AI and semiconductors.
During the Forum on “Promoting Innovation and Developing Strategic Technologies” held on October 2 at NIC Hoa Lac, CMC University reaffirmed its commitment to building Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem through human capital development, technology transfer, and education in high-impact fields.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Executive Vice President of CMC and President of CMC University, also joined the seminar titled “Promoting International Cooperation for the Development of Human Resources, Infrastructure, and Breakthrough Policies in Strategic Technology Sectors in Vietnam.”
CMC University is leading the application of AI and digital transformation in education, integrating tools such as AI teaching assistants, the CMCU Edubot, and smart ERP/LMS systems to personalize learning experiences. Students at the university not only study technology but live and learn in a fully digitized academic environment.
In collaboration with CMC Applied Technology Institute (ATI) and CMC Corporation, the university is executing R&D projects in core areas such as AI, big data, and cloud computing. Innovations include the CMC AI Platform, Vietnamese AI language models, and CMC Cloud – all essential to enhancing Vietnam’s digital infrastructure.
In the semiconductor field, the university is advancing research in chip design and applying high-performance computing (HPC) for advanced development.
CMC’s Research & Education division is also actively involved in research related to IoT, smart cities, 5G/6G, and quantum technologies, producing cutting-edge tools for urban management, digital transformation, and smart education.
Notably, CIVAMS facial recognition technology – ranked Top 12 globally – serves as a key innovation applied across both academia and industry.
These initiatives position CMC University as more than a training institution. It is becoming a hub for innovation, technology transfer, and meaningful contributions to Vietnam’s national innovation strategy.
Driving innovation is a national imperative

Speaking at the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung underscored Vietnam’s strategic focus on innovation: “Promoting science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and the development of strategic technologies is the golden key for the new era. It is not merely an option, but the development imperative of our time.”
With the strength of its C-OpenAI ecosystem, its expanding network of hyperscale data centers, and its integrated University–Institute–Enterprise model, CMC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Vietnamese Government in driving forward science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
By aligning technological progress with national objectives, CMC continues to play a pivotal role in Vietnam’s socio-economic development and its aspiration to become a leading AI hub in the region.
