VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has announced a list of more than 200 co-operation programmes in education and training between Viet Nam and other countries that have received official approval after extensive checks.

According to a report released by the ministry's Viet Nam International Education Development Department, 212 programmes have been given the green light to continue their work, while15 existing courses have stopped recruiting students and six more have finished their operations.

Inspections in foreign-related education and training institutions throughout the country by the MOET have detected some wrongdoings and violations. Under current regulations, all international co-operation for graduates and higher education must be licensed by the MOET or selected institutions including the national universities in Ha Noi and HCM City, Thai Nguyen University, Hue University and Da Nang University.

Parents and students are encouraged to carefully check on the legality of foreign-related programmes before joining in to avoid being cheated. Information about the legality of the programmes can be found at the website www.vied.vn or on the websites of the above universities.
