VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam had always attached importance to strengthening friendly and co-operative ties with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) for the benefit of the two countries, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.


Speaking at a reception for newly accredited DPRK Ambassador to Viet Nam Kim Chang-il in Ha Noi on May 25, Dung also affirmed Viet Nam had opposed the use of force in international relationships and supports peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.


He said he hoped Ambassador Kim Chang-il would work closely with Vietnamese ministries and departments to strongly promote trade and investment between the two countries during his working term in Viet Nam.


Kim Chang-il affirmed that he would do his utmost to further promote the friendly and co-operative ties between the two countries.
