VietNamNet Bridge – After the impressive 2-0 victory of the Vietnam national football team before the champion of AFF Cup Malaysia, Portuguese coach Henrique Calisto congratulated coach Phan Thanh Hung and his team on his Facebook.

"The game was over. Congratulations to the Vietnamese team, winning 2-0 and the team played very well," Calisto wrote on his personal page.
The coach’s congratulation immediately received a lot of feedbacks from his friends and his fans, who hope to see him soon in Vietnam.
In the match on the evening of September 11, the Vietnamese team, under the instruction by coach Phan Thanh Hung, performed a skillfully style. Hung used to be Calisto’s assistant for many years when Calisto was the chief coach of the national football squad.
Although Calisto is no longer in Vietnam, the 58-year-old coach is still very interested in the situation of the football team in his second home.
Recently, answering a Vietnamese newspaper, Calisto also commented on the case of Huy Hoang, a former member of the national team who was suspected to cause a traffic accident after taking drugs.
He claimed that only a child can believe that Huy Hoang’s acts in his car was just caused by drunk. "I do not know why Huy Hoang can wear the jersey of the Vietnamese team when he did that thing. The matter is not football players have a lot of money, but more importantly, they are not educated how to use the money."
After leaving the Vietnamese squad in 2011, Calisto had a short time working in the Thai club Muangthong United before returning to lead Pacos Ferreira at the Portuguese championship.
Calisto made a good job by helping Pacos Ferreira continue its presence at the Primeira Liga. However, due to financial difficulties, the club could not timely pay salary and bonus to its members. This was why the coach said goodbye to the team this May. At that time, it was said that Calisto would return to Vietnam to lead Saigon Xuan Thanh – which ranks third at the V-League 2012.
Currently, the coach is still in his home country and does not have a new job.
