The Chinese coach has just returned to Vietnam to sign a contract with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Lien, who is about to retire from the Dalian Football Federation of China, only wants to sign a one year contract with the VFF, to fit the time that the Dalian Football Federation sends him to Vietnam to work as a guest expert. However, the VFF has proposed a new contract with a term of 18 months, for Fat to fulfill the task at the Asian Women's Football Championship 2014.

The coach is now in Ha Nam province, where the women’s Thai Son Bac Cup is held, to find new talents. He expressed satisfaction with local teams in using more young players in this year’s tournament. He hoped to seek new faces for the national team.

The coach will have to submit his training plan to the VFF. Accordingly, the women’s team will have more than two months to prepare before entering the Asian women's football qualifier in Bahrain, which will start at the end of May.

The four top of the four groups will participate in the final qualifier in Bahrain in May 2014, along with the seeds - Japan, Republic of Korea, China and Australia. At the Asian women's football finals, five teams will represent Asia to win tickets to the World Cup 2015.

In the qualifying round, Vietnam is in the same group with Bahrain, Hong Kong (China) and Kyrgyzstan. Vietnam has a big chance to win the 5th card to the World Cup 2015 because North Korea has been banned from the Asian Champs for using dope at the previous World Cup.

The four other cards are hard to escape from the hands of the four teams - Japan, South Korea, China and Australia. Therefore, the direct competitors of Vietnam are identified as Myanmar, Thailand, and even Taiwan.
