The stone broke the glass window and wounded the eye of a Chinese passenger.

The passenger is a consultant for a sugar-processing company in Ajun Ba District in Gia Lai province. His eye bled and he was taken to the hospital in Ea H’Leo District for emergency aid.

The coach driver reported the incident to the local police.

At the same time, two other coaches were also stoned by strangers. Their glass windows were broken but no passengers were injured.

Coach drivers who work on this route said their cars were sometimes stoned. They had reported the phenomenon to the local authorities but the situation had not been solved.

On September 22, a coach was stoned on Highway 14 in Hoa Thuan commune, Dak Lak province.

Earlier, a coach was stoned in Dak Song District, Dak Nong province. The driver and passengers seized a young man who stoned the car and handed him over to the police. Four other men were then summoned by police for stoning buses.

"Stoning is the biggest fear of drivers. We hope the authorities get these incidents under control as soon as possible to avoid tragic accidents," said Mr. Thien, a coach driver on Highway 14.
