Although he admitted the message was slightly late, Coach Park posted on his personal Facebook page to express pride in the team’s achievement and reaffirm his enduring support for Vietnamese football.

“Though it’s a bit delayed, I still want to congratulate U22 Vietnam on winning the SEA Games gold medal,” he wrote, reflecting on the intense final held at Thailand’s Rajamangala Stadium.

Coach Park emphasized that this gold medal was not simply the result of one match, but the product of a long-term vision by the Vietnam Football Federation.

He noted that Vietnam’s football success can be built on its own inner strength  -  as long as the nation stays on course and remains patient.

“This is proof of the Vietnam Football Federation’s clear vision for the country’s football development,” he wrote. “This victory shows that Vietnam can truly reach glory through its own internal strength, provided it stays on the right path and remains persistent.”

Park also extended warm congratulations to Coach Kim Sang Sik, the entire coaching staff, and every player on the U22 squad.

In a deeply personal touch, he recalled the symbolic gift he once gave to Coach Kim: a ring, offered with hopes of peace and good fortune for his successor.

“Congratulations to Coach Kim Sang Sik, the coaching team, and all the players for this remarkable win,” he wrote. “I hope the ring I gave Coach Kim brings him peace of mind and good luck in the upcoming tournaments.”

Closing his message, Park once again affirmed his pride and unwavering support for Vietnamese football:
“I’m proud of all of you and will always support Vietnamese football! Colen.”

Though simple in words, Park’s message reflected a deep emotional bond and long-lasting affection for the nation he once led to historic football milestones.
