In the term 2015 - 2020, the Party Committee of the Coast Guard Region 3 has thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the resolutions and directives at all levels; actively advised and proposed to the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard in the work of readiness to fight, defend sovereignty of the country’s sea and islands, performed the functions and tasks of the Coast Guard; well performed the task of search, rescue, protection of the marine environment and military external relations, building the strong Party Cell to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Specifically, the Coast Guard Region 3 examined and fined 312 ships, handled 62 cases of law violation, confiscated many valuable exhibits worth a total of over VND211 billion; rescued 25 vehicles, 347 fishermen... 

Carrying out the campaign "The army to join forces in building the new countryside", the Coast Guard Region 3 presented gifts to 1,123 disadvantaged families, fishermen with a total value of more than VND1.5 billion; awarded scholarships to 1,250 students in difficult circumstances, offered free medical examination and medicine, presented the national flags, life buoys, water tanks to disadvantage families worth a total amount of nearly VND4 billion.

In the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Coast Guard Region 3 will continue to build a strong, comprehensive, exemplary and typical regional high command, build a strong and excellent Party Committee, fulfilling the functions and tasks of the Coast Guard and assigned tasks, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the country’s sea and islands, thereby contributing to building the "revolutionary, regular, elite, modern" Coast Guard force.
