Visitors to Coc Pai market in Xin Man district, the
northwestern mountainous province of Ha Giang are impressed by fresh
vegetables, fruits, and animals of different species, and traditional
costumes of the H’Mong ethnic minority group.
Located in an isolated area but the market attracts a large number of
local people and tourists who flock here to exchange goods, purchase
commodities or just have a look. It takes place every Sunday, and is
considered an ideal venue for local residents to sell and buy farm
produce, varieties, costumes and essential goods.
For H’Mong ethnic minority people, cattle including cow, buffalo and
horse is one of their most valuable property. They often purchase
buffaloes at Coc Pai market after a good bargain.
Don’t forget to taste wine at Coc Pai market and have fun with wine sellers here.
