Update news coffee exporters
VietNamNet Bridge – More and more foreign coffee companies are coming to Vietnam to make money from processing, while Vietnamese companies are content with modest profits from selling raw materials.
Vietnam is the fifth most recognised coffee producing country in the US – the world’s largest coffee consuming market, according to a recent survey by the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC).
VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam is the second biggest coffee exporter in the world, but it lacks a global coffee brand. Though it has a large material growing area, its coffee processing companies always complain about a material shortage.
VietNamNet Bridge – The Government will extend its loan assistance period for coffee export activities from 12 to 36 months, providing a timely boost for coffee traders against a backdrop of plunging prices.
The Vietnamese laws clearly stipulate that foreign businessmen are not allowed to collect materials directly from Vietnamese farmers. However, they still have been attempting to control the material growing areas in Vietnam to optimize their profits.
