VietNamNet Bridge – The Party Secretary cum Chairman of Ba Dien commune of Ba To district in the central province of Quang Ngai, has donated 200 square meters of land to build a national-standardized health station.

Ba To district has reported 240 bizarre skin disease patients, including 24
deaths. No new case has been detected since June 8, 2012.

Ba Dien is the home to the bizarre skin disease, which has blown for over one year. To quickly treat patients, Ba To district authorities have decided to build a national-standard health station in Ba Dien commune, at the cost of over VND4 billion ($200,000).

Ba Dien is a mountainous commune so it was a hard task to find an even and flat plot of land for building the health station. Mr. Pham Van But, Party Secretary and Chairman of Ba Dien commune has donated 200 square meters of land to build the health station.

This plot of land is But’s one year-old acacia garden, which is priced around VND150 million ($7,500).

“Many people in my commune were died by the strange skin disease. I’m very happy that a national-standardized health station will be built here. My family decided to donate land so the construction will be launched early,” Bui said.

“Bui’s kindness is touching. We will present him a certificate of merit to honor him as an outstanding Party member,” said Mr. Le Han Phong, Chairman of Ba To district.
