A disruption in air traffic control happened at the Tan Son Nhat Airport in the morning of June 16 due to radio frequency interference, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

The CAAV issued a press release on the problem later in the day, saying that the interference happened from 7h47am to 8h05am, causing six flights to be delayed and one flight to be diverted to a nearby airport.

The air traffic control system was back to normal at 8h05am.

The CAAV said agencies in the aviation sector are coordinating with the Authority of Radio Frequency Management to investigate the reason of the problem.
