A concert will be organized at the Hanoi Opera House on March 26 and 27 to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB).

The “Around the world” concert will be directed by VNOB director Emeritus Artist Tran Ly Ly and led by Martín Garcia León, a young talented artist from Argentina.

The concert will feature VNOB’s Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and some soloists including singer Dao To Loan, first-prize winner at the Singapore Lyric Opera – ASEAN Vocal in 2018, singer Vu Manh Dung, who won the Golden Cup at the Spring Festival in Pyongyang in 2016, and Emeritus Artist Le Thi Vanh Khuyen, third-prize winner at the national Opera Competition in 2009.

During the 80-minute show, the audience will be able to enjoy famous pieces like “Nutcracker”, “Orpheus in the underworld”, “Largo al Factotum”, “Hungarian Dance No. 6”, and Vietnamese folk songs “Ly Ngua O” and “Trong Com”.

Tickets cost VND200,000 to VND600,000 and can be purchased at the Hanoi Opera House.
