VietNamNet Bridge – A concert, titled Toi Di Tim Toi (I Seek Myself), to commemorate the 16th death anniversary of Vietnamese legendary musician Trinh Cong Son will be held at Soul Convention Complex on April 14-15.

The money collected from the sale of its tickets will be used to fund the Trinh Cong Son Scholarship, which provides opportunities for young and talented Vietnamese students from disadvantaged families to develop and pursue their passion in music and arts.
The event is jointly organised by Soul Live Project and Hoa Sen University. It will include performances by popular Vietnamese artists, such as singer Trinh Vinh Trinh (younger sister of the late musician), singer Hong Nhung, saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan and his daughter An Tran, Trong Nhan -- winner of Vietnam’s Got Talent 2016, as well as students from Hoa Sen University and Soul Music & Performing Arts Academy.
According to the organisation board, Toi Di Tim Toi will showcase a unique combination of traditional and modern factors, music, poetry and stories of daily life narrated by the musician’s younger sister Trinh Vinh Trinh.
The concert is being portrayed as a journey for each audience member to seek his/her self through Doi (Life), Loi Ru (Lullabies) and Em (You).
Trinh Cong Son was born in Thua Thien Hue Province on February 28, 1939. He is considered one of the greatest songwriters of Vietnamese contemporary music. It is estimated that Son has written over 600 songs, 236 of which have been widely popular among Vietnamese audiences.
The musician passed away on April 1, 2001. Commemorative events to mark his death anniversary are held annually by lovers of his music.
