With the theme Beyond Magic, the concert will feature songs from films such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and How to Train Your Dragon.
The songs include Hedwig’s Theme, Harry’s Wondrous World and Buckbeak’s Flight composed by John Williams; Concerning Hobbits by Howard Shore and See You Tomorrow, Dragon’s Den and Coming Back Around by John Powell. Launched in 2016 by the Viet Nam National Academy of Music, the concert aims to bring chamber music to young audiences and connect music to children’s beloved memories of films.
“We want to create an adventure for people at different ages, not only children, whether it’s an adventure in music or your own memory, imagination and soul,” said Bui Duy Quang, head of the organising board.
“We want people to grow up, but not to be old, just believe in magic and good things like children.”
Two previous concerts gave music lovers a chance to learn about Japanese culture and music through songs from Studio Ghibli, a Japanese animation film studio based in Koganei, Tokyo, Japan. The studio is best known for its anime feature films, and has also produced several short films, television commercials and one television film.
The concert will take place on July 28-29 at the Viet Nam National Academy, 77 Hao Nam Street, Hanoi.
