After undergoing a medical with the Jupiler Pro League side, Phuong was named in the starting lineup for the pre-season fixture.
Aside from Phuong, a number of new players are also making their debut, including Allan Sousa of Brazil and Daniel Schmidt of Japan.
The Vietnamese player is keen to put on a strong display to impress his new manager and team mates.
The players from Lommel FC were surprised at Phuong’s skills on the ball.
Takayuki Tateishi (pictured in the middle), Managing director of Sint-Truidense, watched the debutants from the stands.
Phuong was later subbed off for Yohan Boli of the Ivory Coast in the 70th minute.
Sint-Truidense FC’s next fixture will be a friendly tie against PAOK Thessaloniki FC of Greece on July 20. They will then begin their Jupiler Pro League season against Royal Excel Mouscron FC on July 27.
